The Eastern Part of the Costa Tropical coast covers From La Rabita down to Castell de Ferro. This is still a typically Spanish part of the Costa Tropical. It is a very popular holiday area and many tourists visit here throughout the year. The area is going through a lot of changes at the moment with new apartment blocks shooting up everywhere and more and more tourists from all over the world discovering the area. There are plans that have already gone through for the building of a large Golf Resort between La Mamola and Castell de Ferro. The smaller Coastal resorts of Castillo de Baños and Casarones are getting new beachside apartment blocks and more facilities for their visitors.The upper part of Castillo de Baños also has a new complex of apartments.
La Mamola is growing very fast with more and more apartments appearing at an alarming speed. At the moment the village remains one of the nicest coastal spots along this coast with a very friendly Spanish community.
Los Yesos also have new apartment blocks going up this year.
